Clerks (1994) - Kevin Smith

Synopsis:
A disgruntled convenience store clerk comes into work on his day off. He has a bad day.

Clerks is one of Smith's greatest accomplishments and you can see why it's launched him into such a successful career. Shot for a measly $27,575, the grainy black and white media is still rich with colourful dialogue and humour. Although the acting was often below par this tends adds to the atmosphere of the piece, an atmosphere which makes it feel much more personal and relatable to the audience.
