Synopsis:
In the year 2050, a crew heads to the Sun with the mission of reigniting the dying star, 7 years after an initial failed attempt.
An incredible feat to make the depths of space feel so cold and lonely despite being so close to the Sun's raging inferno. Danny Boyle and co. knock this one out of the park and into orbit as we're faced with a film that deals primarily with the complexity of choices that you have no choice but to make. Everyone brings their A-game but the real stand out performance comes from cinematographer Alwin H. Kuchler, who wields the camera with such scope and hypnotically attractive disorientation that you have no choice but to marvel at the films beauty. A few questionable decisions made by the crew in its last act make you scratch your head but at least you get more drama for your buck. Not to be missed.
