The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Peter Jackson

Synopsis:
A band of nine unlikely companions set out to destroy the One Ring, which if it falls into the hands of its former master would mean the end of the Middle-Earth.

An emphatic start to arguably the greatest film saga ever made. Although crawling with incredible and in depth characters in their own right, the fellowship itself else acts as an intriguing character too. This allows more themes to be interwoven within the piece. Themes of trust, strength, comradery, friendship, as well as inner turmoil and so much more are brought to a table already rife with impressive action sequences and a certain heartfelt warmth that hasn't been felt since.
