Life of Pi (2012) - Ang Lee
Synopsis:
A man recounts his mind blowing adventure from when he was young about how he survived a disaster at sea and was cast away with nothing but a ferocious Bengal tiger as a companion.
Inexplicably good. The most stunningly beautiful film you will ever see which runs parallel with, and does justice to, the historic source material. Sorry, Hobbit, this is going to get the Visual Effects Oscar. Not only does it look phenomenally authentic but it's also stylized and poetic, something which hurtles this tale of companionship, adventure, survival and divinity, into cinema history.
