Fight Club (1999) - David Fincher

Synopsis:
A man, who generally seems struggles with life and is an insomniac, has his flat mysteriously burned to the ground. He seeks refuge with a man named Tyler Durden who takes him into his home and together come up with and partake in Fight Club, a vicious underground fighting ring with only seven rules. Although it seems simple enough, Tyler has a few bigger plans.

On the surface this is a man film. For men. It's about fighting, fighting the physical man as well as fighting the metaphorical man; THE man. That's not to say that everyone cant and shouldn't enjoy this. It's a comfortable delirium. Gritty and stylish, as well as beautifully acted by a strong cast (some of whom haven't been able to replicate such strong performances since). David Fincher knows what he's doing and its extremely apparent here that he's one of the best in the game currently or maybe ever.
